FEAO 2010 Annual Conference, March 28-30, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

The Annual Conference at the Clarion Hotel in Broken Arrow was a great success!  From the opening night reception at Dave & Buster’s to the wonderful speakers and exhibitors that were on hand, we want to send a big thanks to all who attended and participated.   In case you missed this year’s conference, here’s a few highlights…

Race to the Finish by Johnny Spriggs offered some great tips on how to start a running event or incorporate one into your festival.  Which tied in great with our Team Spirit sports theme!

Guerilla Marketing by Kin Thompson served up some clever and not-so-traditional ideas on how to be more creative in marketing your event.  Tons of fun ideas!

Learning and Mastering the Social Marketing World by Lindsay Vidrine and Jeri Koehler gave participants some useful information on how to navigate Facebook, Twitter and other networking sites for event and organizational marketing.  We all need a few more friends and fans, right??

A media panel representing the Tulsa World, KVOO Radio, KOTV and other print and broadcast outlets answered questions and provided some tips on how to promote your event more successfully.  Now here are some friends we all need to have!

All in all, it was a great two days and two nights of fun, food and fellowship as we shared success stories, learned a few things and made lots of new friends.  The 2011 Annual Conference date and location details are not yet finalized, so check back for more information.
